Shirley Maides-Keane, Ph.D. leads a firm dedicated to assisting companies achieve their key business objectives by fully capitalizing on their human resource portfolio.  MKA develops leaders and organizations by using powerful motivational and performance enhancement technology to harness the untapped potential of a company's human resource assets.

Dr. Maides-Keane has consulted in management development since 1981.  Typical projects for her firm include developing and coaching key leaders and managers, derailment prevention with valued but underperforming executives, compatibility studies of individual-to-job fit (hiring, career path development, pre-promotion, and succession planning), and interpersonal arbitration of conflicts in key but threatened relationships.

One of Dr. Maides-Keane's specialties has been to work with technical professionals--accountants, attorneys, physicians, scientists, MBAs and consultants in corporations and professional service firms.

Dr. Maides-Keane's academic background includes a B.A. with Honors in Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, M.A. and Ph.D. in Psychology from Vanderbilt University.  Additionally she completed a residency at the University of California Davis Medical Center and a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Chicago.

As a professional scientist/practitioner, Dr. Maides-Keane has taught doctoral students, supervised psychological service facilities, managed regional consulting for two management/marketing firms, published, and worked with hundreds of managers and professionals in her own private practice.  In 1999 she consolidated her various consulting businesses into a new firm, Maides-Keane Associates.  She is actively involved in numerous civic, community, and professional organizations.
